Default Urgent Prayer,

The fellow I've been playing tennis with is laying on my couch. He drove here this mornign and said he wants to change his life and go to church with me. Please pray he doesn't change his mind. My wife and I have been sowing the seeds this morning. I believe we may have a new brother very soon. Please pray that this soul doesn't get away.Love ya, His name is Josh

Luke 15:7Thus, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one [[c]especially] wicked person who repents ([d]changes his mind, abhorring his errors and misdeeds, and determines to enter upon a better course of life) than over ninety-nine righteous persons who have no need of repentance.

Randy,
I appreciate the feedback Strut. One hour before church started his girlfriend pulled up in a car. I was in the shower at the time. When I got out...Josh was gone. Maybe the next time. I just heard a great message. The closing words of the pastor was.."I've learned from the years never to try to play the role as Assistant Holy Spirit Detective...we only sow the seeds of truth..God saves the soul." Have a great day my friend.

Default RE: Urgent Prayer,

Thanks Fellows,
I trust you will all have a great day today. It's very interesting ...I've had a few folks tell me lately that they feel convicted when they get around me. It's hard to believe because I don't go around trying to purposely witness. I do {Like you I'm sure }use alot of phrases like.

Praise the Lord
or Thank you Jesus.

So often I forget the world doesn't give praise to God. I also forget that our labour in the Lord is not in vain. Those little kindnesses that we all do are all seeds { Either literal or in deeds }and will not return to God void. I also forgot how real Satan is. When you witness, or a sinner becomes attracted to the things of God...Matt 13:"19 Each that heareth the word of the realm, and understandeth not, the evil spirit cometh, and snatcheth that that is sown in his heart; this it is [this is he], that is sown beside the way. Wycliffe 1388 Satan immediately is at work as well ,thus the reason for lots of prayer and a consistent walk. My prayer is that my walk won't distract people from wanting to know Christ Jesus. The enemy wants to belittle the walk of love we are called to do. I had no idea that these folks were even giving two hoots about me let alone feeling convicted. It was a real eye opener. Knowing that people are watching and reading our living epistle....it causes me to pray more and strive to walk the talk more.

2 Corinthians 4:3 But even if our Gospel (the glad tidings) also be hidden (obscured and covered up with a veil that hinders the knowledge of God), it is hidden [only] to those who are perishing and obscured [only] to those who are spiritually dying and veiled [only] to those who are lost.
4For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.
5For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus' sake.
6For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).(A)
7However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.Amplified Bible

Well Chuck looks like I was a day late and a dollar short on this initial request, but I will certainly pray that Josh does find the Lord.

Thaniks Taz,

I was convicted theis morning. I should not have to take a person to church to find the Lord. In his tears I should have led him to the Lord right there in my living room. thus the scriture says."Be instant in season and out of season." I'll be playing tennis with him on Thursday. We will see what God will do then.
