RE: Fellow hunter shot needs prayer
Dang I pray he will get well soon and have no lasting after effects.
Coon hunting in Havre..Hmm I live in Montana and wasn't aware that you could do that here.
I used to hunt them all the time when I lived in Penna and can sympathize with Scott- when I was 16 I fell an honest 20 feet out of a grape vine covered hardwood...
I can remember, and this is true, standing beside my friends watching myself turn a half somersault and thinking, "Man this is gonna hurt".
As soon as I hit the ground, I was back in my body...ouch.
I laid there for a couple hours while my friends watched over me, asking if they should hike out and get medical help.
I said, "let me lie here for awhile."
After almost two hours I got up and with their help, walked down off that mountain...
God is certainly good and merciful..
This was about a year and a half after three nuns hit me with their car and sent me airborne over a guardrail and down a steep embankment....and about three and a half years before i would be hit broadside at 55 mph right at my front door, broke my neck and totally messed up my spine, still I recovered and it wasn't until 1991 when I fell 10 feet in the mountains working as a forest biologist that I finally did myself in for good- think the Lord said "Ok Leep.that's enough, go sit down now..."
Please let us know how your friend makes out and i will definately be praying for his recovery....Tell him he will make it...
Leep Out:
