If you do something wrong does God punish us each time? Say you look at porn you are only hurting yourself. Would he kill off a loved just because you looked at porn?

We need to remember that sin is a constant in our lives while we are yet on this earth (Romans 3:10, 23). And as such, we not only have to deal with God's discipline for our disobedience, but we also have to deal with the natural consequences resulting from sin. This is where many people get confused, and need to be careful. So often I hear people attribute consequences to God's discipline, when it is obvious that the consequences are simply a natural result of the sin they were involved with. Can God use these circumstances to teach us? Of course! But, did God put these consequences on us Himself? No, these were brought on by our own actions.

Sin is black and white. Trying to rid ourselves of sin is what all of us as believers strive for, but sin is still sin, regardless of the effort to prevent it. If God is disciplining you for sin in your life, then thank God for that discipline and prayerfully ask Him what you need to learn from it. If you are simply experiencing the natural results of your sin, ask God to help you get through these circumstances in a way that allows you to grow in your faith and that gives Him the glory.

come on Fred. You know this answer.

Does God Dicipline us? Only if we are lucky enough to recieve his Grace. If we live life by our own will, then we are on our own. And on our own is like is easy pickins for for Satan.

I know I was lucky enough for him to dicipline me. I had so many people praying for me. Looking back it was clear asa bell with the Holy Ghost working in my life. I had to lose alot. I got diabetes, had liver issues, and finally I accepted to live a life that glorifyes God.

Find this verse and tell me what you think. I think it means if you Love God, then you will follow his commands, then sure, everything that happens in your life is God's will for the best. But if you don't, then your on your own.
Remember, he is a soveign God and does what he pleases.

Romans 8:28
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

There are some sins like stealing, cheating on spouse, killing someone. If you steal something you could get caught and spend some time in jail. Cheating on spouse could end the marriage, killing someone spend along time in jail. If you have sex before marriage could end up with a kid. There are some sins that are not so much tried to mans laws. Like my example with porn,or even getting drunkin your ownhome. Drinking alot of alchol you can have health problems. Say you steal something and dont get caught know ones but you and God. Will God cause you to die sooner then he wanted, will you loss your job, will you loss your spouse, etc. Thats what I am trying to ask?

It's been my experience yes ..God will do whatever it takes to conform you to His Son. Do yourself and run to Go dand not away from Him. Ask Him to deliver you from your desires and use the Word of God to fight temptation. Get around strong mature Christains who love God. If the folks in your church is playing games..find another church. God took 2 lives of people who were playing games with Him in Acts chapter 5.

Deerhunter, yes there are consequences for sin, not only can your server tell where you have been but more importantly God knows . Not only will it pollute your mind and spirit .. .it's really called fornication, and unless it's repented of and put under the blood it will be in your face on judgement day.
The possibilities of embarrassment pale in comparison to being cut off from fellowship with God.
Sting operations and all that, I would think would be reserved for those into child porn . . . .in which case one would definatley be compounding their depth of depravity and should be exposed imo.
