Dear friends Time to Focus on Jesus

The Spiriti woke me up this morning to help me realize to worship God in Spirit and in Truth is truly what it means. NOt to focus on my vainless efforts but as this song goes Turn your eyes upon Jesus{Worship HIm}and everything else grows strangely dim.

The churches I attend have always preached about worshipping in spirit and truth as John 4:24 declares. No other way will do! As a matter of fact we sang that very song you mentioned this past Wednesday.

Amen sister Liz,

This mornign as I lay in bed before awakening I was focusing on dieting and the rest of my flaws. Then..in my minds eye I saw Jesus standing there and brought the John 4 scripture to me and I was reminded to WOrship Him and these other things truly will grow strangely dim. As I was wondering how I could focus on Him all day long ..and this verse came to my mind...

Ephesians 5 18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
So I will be singing today in my heart.

I firmly believe that nothing leads men more into deception, than trying to focus on Jesus without the Holy Ghost to guide them. Even worse, many try themselves to focus more, to be better Christians as it were. Such actions can never siustain an individual. However, the Holy Ghost can, and He, and He alone is the only Avenue that will lead to total focus on Jesus.

What makes you believe you have sole possession of the Holy Spirit? I've given you the benifit of the doubt and have been watching your posts but they have left little doubt that you are not a friend of the gospel.
In my opinion your trying to present yourself as an angel of light when in fact you are not, but rather the opposite.
No one can go wrong focusing on Jesus, and anyone who says one can is not of God.

Actually Chuck, by pointing to the Holy Ghost as the Sole Avenue to understanding the Commands of Jesus, I am in effect focusing 110% on Jesus. It's when I start talking about what I am going to do, that I start shifting focus AWAY from Jesus. I understand that many feel uncomfortable with the Holy Ghost being our only way to focus on Jesus, but the Scriptures state otherwise......

You see Chuck, it is not my intension to "argue" with you, or anyone else, but rather it is my intension to preach the Gospel. Sadly I see quite a bit of intolerence for any opinion that counters the status quo. While you may call me a "stranger", for pointing out the Gospel Truth, you cannot deny the Truth that Focus on Christ can only be achieved by indwelling of the Spirit

Can you point to my posts that suggest that I have sole possession of the Holy Ghost?. If not, would you consider retracting your statement?
I have no doubt that my teaching is not freindly with "gospels" that teach things that are not Biblical, and in line with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Brother Paul makes it clear that their are indeed "gospels" being taught that are not the True Gospel. Implying that I am an "angel of darkness" will not change a thing. It simply harms you, not me.

You see, I never implied that focusing on Jesus was wrong. I simply stated that a Christian needs the Power of the Holy Spirit to do so. So let me ask you Leaf. Can a man void of the Holy Ghost focus on Jesus, and know His Ways?????
