Something I learned on Hunting .Net.
I believe.IMHO as I was taught ..that Solomon was very distressed as he had experinced in life. However in the last chapter we get an over all summary of the conclusion from The Preacher.
Chapter 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

15All things have I seen in the days of my vanity: there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.
16Be not righteous over much; neither make thyself over wise: why shouldest thou destroy thyself ?
