In Malachi we read about the depths to which the children of God had sunk! All through that book God makes a statement and the people make an excuse! Then God proves what He had said by pointing out the actions of the children of Israel! What if God were here to point out our actions? What would He say? In this sinful society where truth is relative, we must not allow the evil deceptions of Satan to permeate the church of Christ!
This morning we will examine some false teachings that people wish God had said, But that our Lord God Almighty, absolutely did not say!
1. Matthew 6:33- But seek ye first whatever you desire in this life, and after you gain your dreams, and all you can get in life, then think about God and if you really believe in Him, give Him some time also!
But God said: "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
There are so many things fighting for our attention and time! Family, Work, Hobbies, Internet, School, Grandchildren, Parents and the list goes on! Where do we put God on our list of priorities? That"s easy, FIRST!
Through His Son, God said; "But why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" Luke 6:46
In essence God is saying, Either, I am Lord of all, or not Lord at all!
2. 1 John 1:5-8 " This is the message we have heard from Him, and declare to you. God is light and love and if we say we have fellowship with Him, we do, and His Son cleanses us from all our sins!
But God said: "This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin."
Without the blood of Christ we have no fellowship with God the Father!
Romans 5:9, says: "Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him."
Ephesians 1:7, says: "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace."
Hebrews 9:12-14, says: "Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For IFthe blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of an heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"
It is clear that we must contact the blood of Christ in order to be in fellowship with God!
Remember, not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of God, but he that does the will of God, Matthew 7:21.
3. John 15:14 " You are my friends if you accept me in your heart, say the
sinners prayer, and attend the church of your choice!
But God said: "You are my friends if you do whatever I command you."
The first is Appealing, Popular, Makes people feel good, Draws people in!
1. Acceptance of God in one"s heart.
2. The "Sinner"s Prayer".
3. The idea of a "Church of your choice".
Matthew 16:18 " ""and on this rock I will build my church""
Acts 2:47 " ""And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."
Ephesians 1:22-23 " "And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
Ephesians 2:16 " "and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the division."
Acts 2:42 " "And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayer."
4. Hebrews 1:1-2 " God who at various times and in different ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us, directly! He speaks in my ear and if He doesn"t tell me then He will tell my preacher or my Elders and they will tell me what Jesus wants. And sometimes He just puts thoughts on my heart and I follow them as the commands of God!
But God said: "God, who at various times and in different ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds".
God speaks to us through His Son Jesus Christ!
John 12:46-49 " "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me should not abide in darkness. And if anyone hears my words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. He who rejects me and does not receive my words, has that which judges him " the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken on my own authority; but the Father who sent me gave me a command, what I should say and what I should speak."
John 6:68, there Peter says that Jesus, "has the words of eternal life".
James 1:21, admonishes us to "receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls!"
Jude 3, reminds us that we must contend for the "faith which was once for all delivered to the saints!"
John 1:1 & 14 " "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (14)"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."
Colossians 3:16 " "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord!" REMEMBER:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work!" 2 Timothy 3:16-17
In the book of Malachi, the people weren"t teaching false doctrines with words, they were living as if God had not commanded something better of them! And when He corrected them from the error of their way, they complained and backtalked our God. Questioning Him, for proof!
The lesson is this:
1.) Satan is deceiving the world with false teachings!
a. He is relentless in His pursuit of our souls!
b. He is infiltrating the Lord"s church!
c. That"s why there"s less respect for the word of God and more importance put on an individual"s feelings!
2.) We must be knowledgeable, of God"s word so we can stand
against the deceptions of Satan!
a. It"s not always an evil heart that allows sin to rule, it is most
usually an ignorant heart!
b. And false teaching is not always done in word, but in actions

Kind of going over board in trying to prove your opinion IMO. I have never heard any proclaimed christain say that and if you think that is whats being taught in this thread you have badly misundertood it.
