I have this friend that is a christian but he is trying to see this girl that isnt a christian. Her religion is jewish. Is this right to date someone of a different religion?

If both of them are devout, its a doomed marriage IMO. From my reading and studying, its best to stay with like kind. My boss is jewish and alot of folks in the Baltimore area. What I have noticed, is most don't even know basic stories in the OT. Alot of them even went to Hebrew school. But I can't say much, my grandfather was a preacher and I went to church alot, I mean alot and never got anything out of it until last year. What I am getting out is from most Jewish people I work with, its more of a culture than a religion. Kinda like lukewarm Christians. So for your friend, it just depends I think.
When you say he is Christian, does he believe Jesus died for our sins and the blood shed was our ultimate covering of sins? Bottom line is one or the other has to give alot.
I have one friend right now who is married to a jewish girl. They get along great but neither are real religious until its conveient for them.
For me, for my marriage to work, I am going to require God being the center of it. Thats the only way we can make it. Thats just me.
DH1224, In Israel there's a 2year jail sentence for trying to witness Christianityto anyone under 18years of age. Most of the non-Christian Jews gave up on God after the Holocaust!

I don't think we can say most Jews gave up on God, Only 15 to 20 per cent of Jews are secular and none believers, 50 % do not Know the scriptures But a good 30% are debout and knowledgeable.
But most all keep traditions such as the feasts.
There is no such law anymore in Israel and many many youths are coming to messiah.
Shalom

Alex, our church is a mission church and we have a mission in Israel. The christian 100% Jewish evangelist that represents our supported mission in Israel was at our church Wednesday night and was the one who informed us on this information. I am just going by what he said!

So I guess you can say, its about the same as "Christians" in the US. Most say they believe, and know tid bits about stories and celebrate holidays and say grace at them, but only 30% or less are devout?
