Keep those scriptures coming Goose. Those who have been mislead need all the help they can get, and nothing can help more that God's Word. The false teachers won't rest, and neither can we. Thankfully there is a scripture to rebuke every false opinion, doctrine, or tradition that anyone can come up with.

Absolutely Reb, thanks for the support. It is strange how men will forsake certain aspects of Scripture but bind other aspects! I hope that Mqman will answer our question about wither a regular guy off the street could understand the Bible if he were to read it. That will help us to understand his position alot more! I have a few more Visual aids that I want to post for everyone's reading delight! [8D]

I don't think that they understand that we ALLagree that Jesus is the ONLY way of salvation, wejust recognize thatHe designed baptism to be the means by which He translates us from the kingdom of sin to the kingdom of God, (the church). It is a type of Spiritual bridge for mankind to cross over to be reconciled to God.

Just one thing... John 3:16
I like to keep it simple.. We tend to make the simple things difficult.

Jesus said to His beloved children........"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you"

Religous people hate that Scripture.

God also said that the saints were chosen " before the foundation of world". The do it yourself salvationers hate that Scripture to.

God also said that salvation had no bearing on the man who "willeth, or runneth", and naturally the religous, doityourselfer hates that scripture to.

Gods Word is true, and men are liars. God is the Saviour, and men are at His Mercy. His children respect this. The children of the stranger hate it, and seek ways to skirt it, but to no avail.

Mqman,
Please just answer one question, CAN A REGULAR GUY JUST PICK UP A BIBLE AND UNDERSTAND THE WORDSTHAT HE READS?OR DOES HEHAVE TO HAVE A MAN TO GUIDE HIM?

I thought I'd post the actual scriptures that you refer to, even thought they do not actully respond to the topic at hand. These in no way support the idea of being predestined to heaven or hell. We are ALL "predestined tobe conformed to the image of God's Son" Romans 8:29. God does not want ANYONE to perish, He wants everyone to repent and obey! I do not hate any of the scriptures in the Bible! I love theWord of God and pattern my life after it! You do not even know me, how is it that you would come on this forum and start picking arguments with people you have no past with? Do you really believe you are winning souls to Christ by you condemning attitude? Youhave called us false teachers, and children of the stranger, and implied that we hate God! Yet you do not even answer ONE question we ask of you!

I think you CANNOT answer the question because you know it will expose you for what you are.Just answer the question and let's continue a civil discussion of the Scriptures!

John 15:16 "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."

Ephesians 1:4 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love."

Romans 9:16 "So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy."

I've got one for you:
John 5:37-40
37 And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. 38 But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. 39 You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. 40 But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Come to Jesus, He loves you and wants to be your Savior also! His blood will make you whole!

Trae

Of course, this begs the question of infant baptism, sprinkling or immersion, and so on....
