Folks,
What do you folks think about gossip.? Is it ok to gossip while you are praying? How does it effect one's own joy and peace? Why do so many Christians get ensnared in observing , and thus gossiping/ judging others ?
Thought this may make a good discussion.

Gossiping in prayer C7??????????????? If you would consider praying for someone you know is sinning to mend their ways I would not consider that gossiping at all.
In regards to gossiping........ big time sin that hurts so many, and if the gossip is untrue it is even worse because it is also a lie that could change peoples opinions of some one or even end a loving relationship.
If you know some one is sinning, pray for them and pull them aside and talk to them face to face, offer advice, help, and prayer.

Gossiping and judging are two different things also. We have no authority to decide if someone is going to heaven or hell, whether they are sincere, etc.
We do have to make judgements though, even about others. Nobody will convince me that they don't judge at some point--I am picky about who I will let my son stay with--I determine who he can and cannot visit using my own judgement. Christians are to avoid every appearance of evil--that includes who you hang out with, and you have to make a judgement there. The list could go on and on. Just pointing out there is a difference.
