Default Just got thru sluggin thru Exodist/Levi

Goodness gracious, those two chapters are hard to get thru. But one thing I learned about it. How significant blood is. And why the blood was so precious that Jesus gave up for us. They probably killed out the entire woods, with pigeons and doves, goats, bulls, sheep. I have skimmed thru alot of the Bible, and pretty well have covered the New Testiment in the last year. I knew the major stories, but wow, I have learned 10 fold going thru it at my age. Significant things that I never gave thought to.

I want to get thru the book and then start studying deeper on specific aspect.

Good job Mark.
The Word OT or NT has a way of changing our minds / which in turn changes lives.

Just remember Mark, "A Dusty Bible, Leads To A Dirty Life". You're doing right brother!

The blood also represents the actual life of a living thing so there's a bit of symbolism there as well.

The sacrifice of animals which God commanded really flies in the face of the anti-hunting groups who claim that God is against hunting and also claim that Jesus was a vegetarian.

I hear folks say, they never read the OT because they have no reason too. But one reason I have came up with, Gen, Exodus, Levi, show the wrath of God and show he demands respect as a God. And he is a jealous God not to be toyed with.

If you never read that, I believe you have the impression, he is all mercy, and forgiviness and you can sin all you want. He is a God of Love but we should treat him as our God, who made the Earth.

Can't wait to get to the Stories, like Genisis.

amazing BC, i am going thru the same thing, there is so much in the bible that i never knew about, and everyday as i walk thru life i see more and more of things i used to give little thought to (i took them for granted), i guess one thing i am sure of that makes me feel this way is something that happened the other day, i told my daughter that my time was more valueable than hers, she asked why, i simply told her her i had less of it left, (even though we don't know for sure), i am amazed at the things i take time to notice now and enjoy, my wife lauged at me the other day, we had a couple of goats born, and i watched them for over 4 hours, the gifts God gives us daily are truley unbelievable, and i thank him daily for them

ya'll have a blessed day, keith
