Leaf posted a very nice post and I'd like to get some answers.
Is it OK to go to a church that promotesGREAT worship of God but has a few unbiblical doctrines. Remember we said before ..there are no perfect churches.
My idea of worship of God may be different from most. I like to worship God
Primary
1 When it is extremely reverent and quiet.
2. When the things of God are treated with reverence.
3. Totally Christ centered
4. Communion done weekly
Secondary
1. Pastor has done his homework and has something to say.
Chuck, I don'tmind who the preacher is that day, if he is not preaching the word of God ( I followthem with my Bible opened and reading with them),Iwill be waiting for him in his office after services. That's a fact!

Live Life in such a way that those who do not know Christ will come to know Him because they know you
I visited an Independent Baptist years ago and pretty much got the same answer. Thanks for replying brother.

PS and no arguement here either. I just enjoy reading the different views.

There are many things to concider when looking for that place where we are to out down our "spiritual" roots. We become a part of that local assembly. No longer are we a visitor. Our spouse and family also become part of that body, and receive their spiritual food and fellowship there. The destiny of our loved ones could hinge upon the choice we make as the spiritual leader of our family.
A couple of things we need to concider is found in John 4:24. they MUST worship him in Spirit and in truth. IMO one cannot worship in "spirit" unless he is in the truth. One also will not know what "truth" is unless he is walking in the Spirit. Will the "unscriptural" doctrines overcome the knowledge of the truth within our families and cause one to believe a lie and be damned.
John 7:38 Believeth on me AS the scripture hath said.
1 Tim 1:10 contrary to sound doctrine
Rev 2:24 hath not this doctrine
II John 2:10 bring not this doctrine
Titus 2:7 and in doctrine shewing uncorruptness
II Tim 4:2 with all longsuffering and doctrine.
II John 2:2 abide not in the doctrine of Christ
Acts 2:42 continued steadfestly in the Apostles doctrine
Ro 6:17 form of doctrine which was delievered unto you
1 Tim 4:13 attention to doctrine
1 Tim 6:1 that his doctrine be not blasphemed
Heb 13:9 diverse and strange doctrine
1 Tim 4:1 doctrine of devils
One needs to find a "Berea" church Acts 17:11
IMO if ones spirit is right, it will dictate how HE worships.
If one seeks and loves "truth", it will determine where he worships.
Good point Snooky,
I've also been thinking about the post this morning.
Rev.2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
2:15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
Looking at the heart of God hear...he dos not want us fellowshipping with those who promote sinning. So I don't think God wants us to just turn our heads and ignor garbage. At least according to this.
