Default Does anyone remember Phil Keaggy?

Scroll to the bottom to play a download. He was one of the 70's contemporary Christian singers. Spends alot of time on the
mission field. He's missing a 1/2 of fimger on his left hand.
Best guitarist I've heard.

Love him. I like all kinds of music, but what Rev's calling "fusion" is one of them that you can't go wrong with. I just wish some was out there that could put lyrics to that 'level' of guitarist playing (In the christian genre...I know there's several out there that can.) Christian worship music is really starting to expand...and I like it. Don't get me wrong, the standards are great, but I'm all for new stuff too. Oh, man...I'm gonna have to start my "CDs to buy" list all over again.

I first was introduced to his more acoustic sound...does anyone know which CD had "Vermillion Strands" on it?

I would have loved to hear Phil Driscoe and Phill Keaggy do an album together.. Phil Criscoe is not only an awesome trumpet player and singer, he has a heart for Jesus..I miss music very much and have played with some of the worlds best players I got to travel around the world playing music... But if I ever pick up an instrument again, it will be to praise the Lord.
