There are many programs on TV that are just trash. Mainly dealing with sexual acts. I am just sick by this stuff. When I do see this stuff I start getting sexual thoughts. Is there anything we can do as a society bygetting this stuff off the TV. Yes we shut the TV off. People are still going to see this stuff.

This is why it's there .It's a great tool of Satan. We would all get lustful thoughts. It's normal. However'; good Christians don't run through the remote. They look in the TV guide and decide what is worthy of watching FIRST. Th eentire Christian Battle is in the mind. If it's beyond your control throw the TV away. God's Word promoces us control. We still have ours but have not turned it on in a while. My son Aaron did watch th eFlintstone movie on it last night. I got tired and went to bed early. Your batle is totally normal and God expectsus make good choices my friend. Also...certain music can be just as bad for your soul. The Bible says "And whatsoever ye do..do all to the Glory of God."

Contact the FCC, it works ,down here we have being succesful in removing 2 programs in Spanish that just show Half naked women and sexual inuendos and bad sexual jokes, all it took was a few letters to teh FCC, they taped the show and finned the TV station $50,000 for each show they taped and bingo they are gone.
Then we had a spanish radio host that was worse than Howard Stern, then he took it up on making fun of the Lord and the church and everything that was heavenly,he dropped dead one day right before the show, he had being warned by many preachers including myself.
Make sure you address your letter to the chairman in Washington D.C.
He is a believer and will take action, the local offices are runned by the I don't care group.

I don't like religious TV especially the televegalist like Benny himm and that other guy with the little things of water he sells that is supposed to bring about miracles. Should I write the FCC.
Why is it folks are worried about some nudity but will watch an action movie where 100 people get killed and it's no big deal?

That wasn't even addressed here! What has that to with the original post? How do you know hewasn't refering to the violence also? All the tools of evil to drag us down. Life is just too short and too fun to be glued to a T.V. set watching other people live meaningless lives. I'm getting outside, going to play with my kid, or watching God's creation around me! No time for the negative! Misery is a choice! And Christians don't choose to be miserable!

I'd be tickled to see Benny Hinn and the likes taken off the air. I don't watch TV much at all, and could live without it--except I need one to watch my hunting videos (went to sleep watching Fred Bear last night).

Goose- not trying to nitpick, just using your post as an example. You said Christians don't choose to be miserable. I agree, I don't watch t.v. either, but I have a lot of friends/family that do- and complain all the while about the programs. "All they show is crap, junk, blah blah blah..." LOL. They're making themselves miserable (by choice- which I don't understand), so I'm going to edit your post:
Christians SHOULDN'T choose to be miserable.
Again- not trying to demean your insightful posting. Just pointing out the humor in what a lot of people choose to do. (Maybe it's just my family- they're very strange )

Alex, do you think he died because of what he was saying? If that was the case, why aren't there many, many more falling over? It would seem to me that radical Islam (those that denounce Christianity, say that all Christians should die, want to execute the man that converted from Islam to Christianity, etc.) would cease to exist in short order if that happened; not to mention the outspoken atheists in the U.S. and around the world.
