Well I wanted to have a thread to be the "yang" of Fromans "ying"

from the thread titled Non-Believers Opinions/Thoughts on Christianity. Why do we love this life? Whats it good for?
Being a christian is a great life. Being forgiven and free of guilt is of course enjoyed but being in rightstanding and in fellowship with our Creator to me is the most wonderful thing of all. Living by , and agreeing with God's word , the bible is having a friend with infinite wisdom that will cause our life to be productive and meaningful for ourselves and those around us. Following a God that loves us leads us into our purpose in life, we can be better parents, friends, employers and employees as we are heeding His voice. We can be strong in our confidence in Christ when we are in our valleys for
we know He will never forsake us. We can suffer the hard things in life because we know that all things work for the good for those that love God.
Having a church gives me a place to hear the word from folk who have been chosen to teach and shepherd us. Having a church family gives us a source for encouragment and accountability. When I have a request for prayer I have over a hundred people that will seek God for me and if I have a special prayer theirs elders to annoint me in prayer. We have an extended family of folk we can care for and see to and also be cared for and seen to.
The benefits and joys of being a christian are too many to put on paper for me and even as I type I am flooded with things I could say. I just would'nt have it any other way.

A Buddhist monk in Ceylon, who was acquainted with both Christianity and Buddhism, was once asked what he thought was the great difference between the two. He replied, "There is much that is good in each of them, and probably in all religions. But what seems to me to be the greatest difference is that you Christians know what is right and have power to do it, while we Buddhists know what is right but have not any such power." This is true, because no other religion has as its founder God, who became man, and in becoming man incarnated the grace and the truth of God. When Christ, then, becomes our life, we will be full of grace and truth. It is not our grace and truth but His, for He dwells within.
