Default Fires in TX update...

Fire update...

Total loss of our grassland near Groom, TX and McLean, TX. Eight sections of grass totally burned, including 9 1/2 miles of fence. PRAISE THE LORD we hadn't movedour cattle there for summer pasture yet. The ones that were there scattered and survived. Some of our neighbors were not as lucky. We appreciate your prayers during the fire! Please continue to pray for the families of people who lost their lives.

Cameronmclain, I had'nt heard of the fires in Texas . . .sounds really bad. Our prayers will be with all involved and the families that lost love ones.

Rev, that reminds me of the yrs I lived in El Paso . . .mid to late 50s . . .the streets would flood like that after a rain . . .the rest of the time we would have tumble weeds passing thru. I came thru El Paso a couple of yrs ago . . .sheesh I could'nt believe how it had grown, I doubt a tumble weed could make it thru traffic!

The prayers are said Brother, this has been an odd year weather wise as we can see by some of the replies to this thread. Last week here in Va. we actually had a fire alert which is unheard of this time of year due to it being windy and dry for quite a while.

I too, was unaware of the fires in Texas. I just prayed for you and your family and for the others who have lost loved ones. I am thankful that your cattle escaped the flames. It seems that much of the country is getting this. We've been under a fire alert warning for over a week now and the brushfires are constant and all over the place around here too.
