I was going to take a picture of this thing, but the digi cam has a dead battery, so I'll have to describe it to you.
My mother sent this to me a couple of years ago. It's a small concave piece of iron, and it has jewish symbols on it, and I rolled up a small piece of paper with a prayer written on it and nailed it on the inside of the front door on the threhold with the prayer pined between it and the wall. Do you know the name of this thing? I can't remember what it's called. If anyone knows, it would be you cause I bet you've got one too.

Mazuzah , God commanded all households of Israel to place this script in their door posts, it contains scriptures from deuteronomy chapter 6 declaring the oneness of God and other scritures of blessings and curses which Israel would received if they would obey the word of Hashem (God)also the commandments of God are in it.

It is placed on the outside of the front door, on the right side as one goes into the home, it is nailed at a 40 degree angle with the top part pointing into the house.
A blessing is recited over it after nailing it.

To us messianic Jews the Mazuzah was a foreshadow of the Messiah (Christ) as the word of God being nailed to the tree.

His nailing to our house which is our body brings Blessings and it also brings curses when we dissobeyd it and live a life of sin after receiving the truth of His Salvation (Yeshua).

We also place them in every door including the back doors as commanded.

Some people place it inside the houses as times are dangerous for Jews and many houses in Miami have being vandalised with nazi graffitti etc.

Some mazuzahs are Kosher, Meaning "correct", this is accomplished by the little script inside must be handwritten and the proper blessings said over it, if it is a machine printed script it is not Kosher.

Kosher mazuzahs are very expensive as it takes hours for a scribe to write it by hand in very very small letters and no mistakes are allowed in the letters as Moses heard from God and must be written in a matrix type scripture, letters are not allowed to be missaligned in any way shape or form.

Is that what you needed,LOL

Wow. thanks for the response. I wrote a prayer of blessings for my household and a prayer of protection and put in it. It is on the right side and nailed at the correct angle. Does this mean I have to believe in the oneness doctrine?!![&o]LOL I hope you can laugh with me- I'm just pickin"!!
I appreciate the response. My mother hosts a team from Israel that goes to her area every year. She got it from them and gave it to me. She has one too of course.
Thanks- you certainly are at least a little familiar with it!!

If you believe the word then you should believe what it says, God is one.

Show me a verse that says he is 3 and I will believe different,LOL

The blessing for the Mazuzah is written since Moses gave it, i will find it in english for you if i can if not I will translated.

Here it is in short form.

Prior to affixing a mezuzah upon a doorpost which has a door, the following blessing should be recited:
Baruch Ato A-do-nai Elo-heinu Melech Hoolom asher kideshonu b"™mitzvotov v"™tzivonu likboa mezuza.
Translation: Blessed are You, L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to affix a mezuzah.
The blessing "śShehecheyanu"ť is not recited.
