Default Well Just Got Back From Church

Well ,I felt like trying out an Assembly of God Church 15 miles away.Matt still wanted to go . The pastor played the piano like Michael W Smith and preaches the Truth with conviction and love. Matt didn't go down to the alter butI know the preacher made a great impact. We got out the fattened calf by stoppping at a Burger King. We had a great time. Best preache rI've heard in Florida. I doubt if he's 30 years old. He's only been there 10 months. My wife and other son will be joining us next Sunday.
The preacher is going over the armour of God. He did an excellent job with the belt of truth.

Me too Chuck! Just got back and really enjoyed it. We drive 66 miles round trip and being IB, we have fellowship with 3 couples after church at Wendys for some Fried Chicken.

Had you been church-hunting?

Regardless, God gives all kinds of gifts...some are very specific, and speaking about Him is certainly one. I'm glad it was a good experience. I often here more about how "bad" or about all the "wrong" stuff that happens when someone tries a new church.

Tom,
We had been going to a Methodist to work with a small children's group. That particuliar church is in desperate need of leadership. We have been closing our eyes to the problems and zeroing in on the kids and praying. After much prayer here which is going on daily . ....Matt out of the blue ask me to take him to church Wednesday. To be honest with ya I wouldn't of ask anyone to go to the church I was working at. So ...I remembered a church where my respected college professors went. Down in Mulberry Reb. I ask Matt last night who had a cold. Matt , do ya still wanna go to church ? "Yep sure do. Don't ya feel miserable ." Yep but I still wanna go to church." Folks , what a blessing. My family has been starving for good godly love , teaching and preaching. WOW .He's a young man filled with the zeal and joy of the Lord and who doesn't hold back any punches. Has a great evangelism program/ 3/4 th of the audience were children/teens from a multiculture envirinment. We kindly let the folks in the Methodist know we were moving on and we did. Our family needs fed and we are going to the water hole.

PS 60 miles Rebel...wow that's a good ride.KFC sounds good. I like the original.

It's 66 miles round trip, twice on Sunday and twice on Wednesday and sometimes other days of the week. It's at Wendys we meet after church for chicken!
Been doing it for 20yrs at the present church and 16 years at another churchabout 3 miles from this one. They both have the same pastor at each.
The first one is were we got married, First Baptist of Mango, but the pastor was getting to modern in his preaching, so we started at Landmark Baptist in Seffner.
We have 2 families from Lakeland with us.
