I see where you are comming from with this Chuck but understand this. You see how a small group like us on this forum go at it when someone says something that another doesn't agree with. Imagine week in and week out what pastors go thru. Behind the scenes it has to be overwhelming with one complaining about this and others about that. These men are literally walking on egg shells trying to teach and uplift. That church hour is a chance for you to praise Godwith like minded believers.

Agreed. But, your preacher can not determine your growth. Your growth is up to you. Your preacher can motivate you, but he cannot control the hunger you have for Christ. That is done in prayer, earnestly seeking Christ on your own will. Some will say the preacher guides you, I myself will leave that up to the Holy Spirit!!

As a teacher Abe the classroom teacher is the main variable for the child's learning.... Brother I havea feeling this could give fuel to the anti Christians ..I'll leave her alone. We have better fish to fry.

Bro Abe...I understand what your saying, and your right, however that preacher in the pulpit has to be dripping with God's anointing so much that those in the pews want the same.. Remember what what Elisha said "Please let a double portion of your Spirit be upon me."... We as preachers need to demonstrate God's power and anointing by example, not by sermons.

I'm in no way downplaying the role of a pastor. A pastor needs to be a Godly man, grounded in his faith in Jesus Christ. He does need to lead his flock, but all I'm getting at is our shepherds (pastors) have a shepherd.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is we can grow further than just where our church goes. We need to take what our pastors give us, receive it, but not stop there. Build on it. We can never stop growing. Thanks Chuck, I hope none of that came across wrong! Love you too brother!
