Default Question on forgiveness.

I've been dealing with something lately. I know that when a brother ask for your forgiveness it is yes sir re Bob 70 x7. No question here.

My question.
What if a person does something against ya but does not ask for forgiveness. Do we still forgive ?

We should, it is not easy all the time brother, but in the end you feel better forgiving others of their tresspasses against you.

I've been wrestling with sometin over the weekend. My brilliant wife's answer this morning was this.

" You mostly need to forgive for your own sake."
I agree.

Boy thats a biggy!!!I am sure each one of has dealt with that issue sometime in our lives..
But Jesus says in the Lords prayer, " Forgive us AS we forgive others." So how would we like Him for forgive us.

Remember that unforgivingness is like a poison we drink expecting the other person to die from it. Most of the time they go on about their merry way, while we harbor those feelings, killing us slowly (our souls)like taking poison.

The best way I have found is to pray for them each time the feeling surfaces.

Let's see if I can bbeat the freeze.

I've been taking a Christian man fishin for 10 straight weeks. He's never offered to give one cent for gas. Sat. we never got a hit so I said I'm going to go around a certain island and get the lures off the trees to at least compensate for my GAS.Sure enough he puts the lures in his tackle box.
I was ticked. but kept my mouth shut.

It sounds like an issue of learning to confront, rather than forgiveness. You would feel much better if you just spoke up and said, Hey, I need a little contribution to the gas 'kitty'! And, 'You know those lures I pulled from the trees? They go in MY box! Some people are just oblivious to their responsibilities due to their upbringing or just plain immaturity or selfishness. They need someone to 'enlighten' them.
