Hello everyone; I've been on here for a while and have seen several prayer requests, so I would like to add my own. I'll get straight to the point: My grandfather (72) is in very bad shape. I just returned from a trip to their home this afternoon, and am sad to say he needs prayer in the worst way.A few years ago, he had open heart surgery. Now, he is in such pain he can hardly breathe. Apparently, when a person undergoes surgery of that type, they pry open the sturnem with a mechanical device. This puts a lot of pressure on the spinal column, and the adjoining ribs. He now has three hairline fractured vertebrae in his back, causing intense pain. He also has emphysema, which complicates matters. It has been three solid months now of going to 1-3 doctors per week with no results.
My grandfather was once a large, powerful man. I have always been inspired by his strength and physical abilities. This weekend was very heartbreaking for me and my new wife. He fell in the restroom and my grandmother couldn't help him, so I went in and helped him up. When I grabbed his arms, they were smaller than my wife's with virtually no muscle mass at all.One of the strongest men I've everknowncan now barely speak, much less stand on his own.
Please add him to your Prayer lists, as we need all the help we can get to pull through this.I am praying that God renews his strength, and that He provides a doctor that can at the very least relieve him of such horrible pain. I thank you in advance for your prayers, I will update soon.
