RE: trust in God
God answers all prayer. Sometimes the answer isn't what we want. That's His right as our God and Father. A good example would be something like this: You become a christian and afterward all your friends, who aren't christians, begin to avoid you. Human nature would probably prompt you to pray and ask God to help your friends see that you're still ok and there's no reason you can't still be friends. So you pray, but it soon becomes clear that it's not going to happen. The natural reaction is to question why. The answer is, God has a reason. It may be that, God in his omniscience, knows that if you keep hanging around these friends, you'll face all manner of temptations, that you're not spiritually ready to handle.
The bible talks about things most christians don't want to consider.
James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.
Sometimes, prayers that God refuses to grant, actually causes us to develop patience and as the verse above shows us, patience when "it's perfect work is done" helps you be a better christian.
This is especially hard when it involves the health of a loved one. I'm not sure of your aunt's physical condition, but you can be sure that regardless of her condition, God loves her very much. It may be that this is her trial to endure. That after she's weathered this, she'll be a better person because of it. Regardless, don't give up hope. Sometimes it's not a matter of God saying Yes or No, more a matter of when. When is ALWAYS on God's timetable.
