Default Weight Watchers.

Hey Folks,
Is anyone out there counting Weight Watcher points? It's been working very well for me andI was wondring if anyone else is using that or any other program. Weight watchers is simple. You have about 30 points to eat any way ya want. There is a simple cardboard sliding tool which figures up points. {If interested I could help you with a slide PM me}}All ya need to know is fiber, fats and calories.
Bsically a high fiber diet.30 points can go real fast. I thought if there was someone else on here we could share ideas. How does this fit in with religion?
ESAY ..Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. I'd also like to be healthy enough to climb a few more trees and drag out a few more deer. Christians are to be examples of moderation. And for me to lose weight..even with Weight Watcher knowledge still takes the power of the Holy Spirit. Otherwise I'm just a poor old Romans 7 man...which stinks
Romans7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
I'd rather live the victorious Romans 8 Life through the power of The Spirit.

I would stick to it if it is working for you. For me though when I was dieting I just went on willpower and tons of exercise. Sure did make the climbing and dragging easier. I really dont think any 2 people can lose a lot of weight an do it the same way. Just have to find something that works for you and stick to it. Different things for different folks. If I had a bad day dieting I just tried to do better the next day, sort of like religion I guess. I started in april of 98 at close to 400 and quit in sept/oct of 99 at 220. It pretty much required a total change of life and a complete change ine ating habits. Its not easy but if I could do it...anybody can because nobody loves to eat as much as I do..lol. I wore out a couple of good bikes doing it, but looking back it was definitely worth the effort.

Still 220-225 after 6 1/2 years. I went from a couch tater to a diehard mt biker...lol. Not bragging...just trying to give out some encouragement. Meaning if you want to do it bad enough....it can and will be done. Just be patient and buckle down. Kind of like making yourself sit that last hour in the tree stand..its almost always worth it

I've never had much a weight problem... I know I could stand to loose 15 pounds, but my wife says no! So, I keep that little extra on just in case, there's a famine. plus you know, I gotta make her happy....
This was taken at our lake house two months ago.

Chuck, my father did that while I was in High School. He had fairly good success but when he stopped 'counting' he went right back to his old eating and slowly gained it all back. "Free Soup" or "Free Stew" became a staple of our families diet. It was actually pretty good. I don't remember what it was exactly but it was basically a vegatable stew with celery in there to bump the fiber up and Dad could he all he wanted for 0 or 1 point maybe. I could call home and get the recipe if you'd like.

Thank you ..I'd like that. My wife makes a 5 star 0 point vegtable soup which is very hearty. We are actually planning tomorrows dinner right now. My points are up for today. It dosn't take much to rack up 30 points.
Tomorrow we are having calf liver and onions , fried sunner squash, apple sauce and mangoes for desert. A good 15 point dinner.{Flour has alot ofpoints so I generally stir fry in olive oil.1 tablespoon 3 points.}I usually have those 5 point Lean Cuisine dinners. The other 10 points are fruit off my treesor mini shredded wheats out of the box. You do have to get real creative counting those points. LOL
Chuck7

My wife is already in very good shape but wants to stay that way....so she counts the points too. Of course for her it's about 25 points. Deer meat and fish is excellent. Those meals are the days to really lose the pounds.

Well don't know if it will help much, she didn't remember the specifics (she's one of those cooks who just throws things in and measures by sight...the good kind) but she said there are several recipe websites just for wieght watchers and that that is what this came from.

Tomato Juice, Cabbage, Onions, Carrots, and Celery. That's it!!! Don't know how she made it taste good looking at the ingredients, but it can be done. I do remember that it was always better in the crock-pot.
