I dont know if you have ever stopped and listened to how people talk. It surprises me how many people use God in vain. I dont think I use his name in vain but I do tend to say swear words. I am trying not to say they as much. I am so shocked by how many people use Gods name in vain. I probably should say something to them.

I watch all these people win prizes and crap on TV. And the first thing they do is take the Lord's name in vain. It just shocks me too. I usually say something after the 2nd time. Depends on the situation. But DH if you feel convicted, I say go for it.

What people say is a direct reflection of what's in their hearts.

When they don't have Jesus, they'll say some of the most horrendous awful things imaginable.

God will help you break your cussing habit. Ask him to...I assure you he will.

Those words get me reeal hot. My father in law used to use it alot. I held it in for a long time and then I exploded LOUDLY embarassing her whole family by saying
" WHY DO YOU GOT TO CURSE THE ONE WHO DIED FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD."

He replied by saying I'll say any damn thing I want in my own house. We exchanged a few more words. Then....silence for 2 days. I love what this man did next. Lyn and i had just got married.He was a family man.

Many times while playing tennis these fancy doctors will loudly curse out Christ. Some are bigger than me....I can't help it.Something inside me makes me stop playing ,walk right over there with the strength of Samson and tell them could you please stop cursing my Lord and Savior..Most of the time they do. If they don't I praise JESUS loudly on every ball I volley

Cursing of any sort upsets me, I will confess that I still do on occasion and feel an immediate remorse when I slip, I will not tolerate the Lords name being used in vain around me and have on a few occasions after calling someone on it later thought "Man am I crazy? That guy could have beat me to a pulp!", but I feel good that I did call them on it..... nervous, but good.

Cursing for some is a very tough habit to break, when ever I have heard any of my kids curse I have pointed out to them that cursing is used by those folks who do not have the mental ability to express themselves so they curse thinking this will get their point across.
