RE: hunting and bible
In my opinion it is not wrong. There is a few ways to look at it, but I'll take this one:
1. You are expected by God to provide for your family.
1 Timothy 5:8 "But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."
2. The predator may keep us from being able to provide for our families. I mean inan extreme case, they could. Not only the predator, but the groundhog, even the deer. That's why some farmers are allowed more tags, to protect their crops.
So that's one way to look at it. Another is the fact that we have the authority, given by God to rule over this domain.
Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, "œLet us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, "œBe fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
It would be wrong to just kill for no reason, but there is a goodreason for you to kill those groundhogs! So, now what do you think?
