Default Remarks such as this have no place here

Folks there is an awful lot of sniping going on...."to be honest with you snooky .you wouldn't recanise the "correct one " if it came knocking on you door".

Anyone else getting tired of it?

I don't really mind the sniping at all Mark. Cats been rude since day one. Even up to now I see him ridiculing folk for their spelling . . .in spite of his obvious lack of skills in spelling and grammar. What bothers me tho is that if someone responds to Cat in like kind, . . .then the poor JW is being bashed and that won't be tolerated. Give me a break . .Cats manner doesn't really bother me at all, but why put a protective hedge around him when he is getting what he doles out?

Rev.3:20
[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Leaf River Mac I agree, the sniping and rudeness I have seen is mostly on Cataway"™s part. But the sniping from both ways is what bothers me. Mature Christians have no place miss-using a member"™s nickname, like calling Cataway "śCastaway"ť or the sarcasms in a lot of the replies.

Even in my bashing of the Mormon"™s false teachings I tried to maintain a respectful position by using Porter Rockwell"™s proper nickname. I think I failed in just about every other aspect of my discourse with Porter though. The only saving grace is that he did say my rebuttal to his teachings did cause him to have some doubt as to the correctness of his teachings.

There is a proper way to rebuff an elder and a proper way to rebuff one still on baby food.
Cataway fails utterly at rebuffing an elder or anyone else, but he has the excuse of youthful ignorance as well as scriptural ignorance.

Normally the elders on this forum do a very good job of rebuffing those still on baby food, but I see them sinking to Cataway"™s level instead of staying above it.

Personally I have been rather surprised that the "śNaar"ť rule has not been repeatedly applied to most of Cataway"™s posts.

As to Cataway"™s grammar and writing skills, you may find it interesting to review some of his posts and see if you notice anything odd (The posts that aren"™t just cut and paste ones).

One last thing, I don"™t think it is the proper dispelling of the JW/Cataway teachings that is being dissuaded by Tazman, just the manner in which it is being done.
Perhaps a liberal dose of "śnaar"ť where it is needed will allow the process to move forward.

As an aside;
I didn"™t quite understand what was wrong with Alex the Hawk"™s thread "śFalse Teachings of the JWs"ť other than the way some remarks were made by some of the posters.

Debating any false teaching of what the bible truthfully states must/has to be allowed, just apply the "śnaar"ť rule to keep it above the fray.

If proper discourse showing the falseness of some teaching/understandings of scripture isn"™t allowed, then what are we even doing here? "śProper"ť is the operative word though,
Don"™t lock such threads; just apply the "śnaar"ť rule as needed to keep the exchange respectful.

Thanks
Mr-Pirk

Well as I said, I don't mind the rudeness so much . . .to a point . . .It's hard enough on here to really know where folk are coming from . .a little rudeness is more defining to me. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. As far as Cat . . .I believe we should treat him like we would any Jehovah Witness that comes to our door.
