Default Churches Burn In Alabama

Let us remember to keep in our prayers those six Baptist churches that burned down last night in Alabama... We all know how terrible that would be if it happened to our church..

I hope those responsible for this are quickly caught and severely punished.

Excuse my scriptural ignorance (that is why I so love this forum) but what does the bible say of those who would harm the church? I have always understood that the church was to be treated as the body of Christ. If so then are there any special punishments for those who do otherwise?

Just curious,
RA

Red, actually we ( The People)are the Church.. . When bible talks about the church, it pertains to us, his people.
1st Corinthians 6 19 -20 says "What know ye know that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are are God's.

After all what is a building without the people.. Just a building... But I would think that God would deal harshly with those personsbecause of the hate they have for God.

I can post a hundred verses with the word church, mostly it means you and I.
