The Blood of Christ is paramount in our salvation! It is the only way to wash sins away. All of God's power to save mankind has been put in the one place we must go in order to recieve salvation.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of
the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
The gospel is the
Death,
Burial, and
Resurrection of Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Now I would remind you, brothers,
of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand,
and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you"”unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that
Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that
he was buried, that
he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
The fact is that of all the blood Jesus shed on the day of His crucifixion, the blood that was shed "inHis death" after the solider pierced His side with the spear, that blood was the Blood of the New Covenant. Because:
Hebrews 9:17 For a will (or covenant)takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive.
Therefore that blood is the powerful blood that washes away thesins of mankind. Here is what the Bible says about the Blood of Christ:
I Peter 1:18-19
knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,
but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:13
But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off
have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
I John 5:6
This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
I Peter 1:2
according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit,
to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.
Revelation of John 1:5
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth.
To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood--
Hebrews 9:14
how much more will
the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God,
cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
I John 5:8
the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
Hebrews 12:24
and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than
the blood of Abel.
Galatians 3:27
For all of you who were
baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
Hebrews 9:22
And according to the Law,
one may almost
say, all things are cleansed with blood,
and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
