Default Update from Andrew

A couple of days ago I told Lyn possibly our home-schooling was in vain...then we got Andy's letter yesterday. He wrote a 12 page letter explaining how he deeply appreciated our Christian up bringing . He said his faith in God is the only thing getting him through. His only prayer request is ...he needs to get his back straight while doin gpushups. He can't pass basic with an arched back. Sounds silly bu tI'm serious. I cried as I read all of the scriptures .I've never seen him so serious about God in my entire life. Thanks so much for all my prayer warrior friends.

Concerning Matt.....my natural man wants to refrain from loving him but through prayer and fasting the spirit is tellin gme different. I feel love is the greatest conviction.
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
2:5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved

There are many ways in the Word to deal with backsliders and this is the one God led me too. Since I 've started doing that .Matt looks at me everyday and says dad..I love you. When I gave him the cold shoulder bitterness was growing. We plan to fish on Sat. Seeing the results on Andy I can truly say.."Our labor in the Lord is not in vain." Like th eprodical..they will return and when they do a love feast will be prepared .
Thanks again to my warrior friends who I know are praying because of the many e-mails. You folks are truly a God sent.

Thats good news Chuck . . .sounds like he's getting more than just basic training. He's getting more prayer than most also.

Amen brother,
And I don't say brother in just routine. I just got done praying for ya. God is doin ga wonderful work between us I do believe. I'm delighted in what is happening to Andrew and Matthew listens and looks on as we praise God.
Things like this is much better than a touch down or a home run. Nothing beats having your children sincerely living for God.

Technically ..my wife did all the teaching, She is well qualified as she was Valedictorian , and 2 degrees .After they both went into college she went to school and go tcertified as an elem. teacher. She will not be teaching next year..she was chosen to be the schools computer lab technition.. One smart women I got there.

As for me....middle of the road common man,
I.m sure your question is regarding why.The why is because we are commanded as Christians to bring up our children in the Lord. There is too much non curricular activity in th4 eschools that we sheltered our kids from.

Thanks Gents
I'm telling ya...I took it fo rgranted that my kids would automatically be Christian.huh Satan works overtime my friend and temptaions are very attractive to our youth today. It is nothing short of a miracle if your kids are saved. Thank God everyday for them and continue to bathe them in prayer. Satan desires to sift them as wheat...but we will pray that thier faith fails not.
