Jimmy Carter Praises Hamas

I heard today on the radio where Jimmy Carter praised Hamas for their recent elections and how honest Hamas was... Does anyone here find that rather peculiar to praise a terrorist organization by honoring them for their honesty... It's like saying at least Hitler, was an honest man.
Why doesn't he just go off and raise some peanuts or something? Of course the peanuts are probably smarter than he is.

I couldn't find anything about this on the net, may be one of your super bloggers can post something.
I know this sound like it should be on the political forum, but it sure goes with the Birth Pains...or a slap in the face of Israel.

He gave up Iraq to the Ayatollah's, He gave up Nicaragua to the communist Sandinistas.
and alsmost Gave Up El Salvador to The Communists.
He Allowed Fidel Castro to send 120,000 Illegals in 3 weeks time to Miami.
And He discussed Nuclear polifferation with a 12 year old daughter. LOL

Here's what he said.

Carter told CNN in an interview that although Hamas were "so-called terrorists," so far "there have been no complaints of corruption against [their] elected officials."
He conceded that "there is an element within Hamas who deny Israel's right to exist," but compared the current situation to negotiations with the PLO, which was still outlawed as a terrorist organization during his presidency.
He drew an additional comparison with Menachem Begin's rise to Israel's premiership in the seventies. "The Irgun, to which Begin belonged, was also characterized as a terrorist organization," he noted.

He Made The Israelis Give up promised land to terrorists, he has trhough Condoleeza Rice condemned Israel, everytime Hamas sends a bomber or shoots mortars into Israel and Israel retaliates.

I was part of Jimmy's honor guard at the White House in the late 70s. Of course during the military the soldiers hardly know what's going on in the civilian world. I always loved the guy but it seems like I messed out on some of his blunders. I only know of the guy who did reaching out projects to help the poor. And..he has a real sweet wife. When ever I saw him he was always behind the bullet proof glass in his vehicle as he would ride in the back seat. I would be standing on the side with bannets fixed in my dress blues.
