I'm scared of E-Bay. I once bought a manual for one of my surplus rifles there. I don't know what happened, but the next thing I know is I got charged well over a hundred bucks for a two dollar book. Then, while I'm trying to argue and get my money back, I get like 65 of the manuals by UPS! I finally got my money back and returned the manuals, but what a hassle!

I don't know how you got ripped off... I had one problem with one seller. Ebay gave me my money back and kicked that seller off... I have done well over 150 transactions on Ebay with no problems.. I sell a lot on ebay, most archery stuff. Sorry, you had a bad transaction, I save lots of money there.
I was in the market for a spott hogg sight. they are 150.00 in stores, plus 8.25 % sales tax in Texas.. I bought it new on a ebay store for less and shipping was less than sales tax... I have a diamond ring with seven diamond total carat weight 1.86 and 16.78 grams 14 karat gold. The appraisal certificate I have for my insurance is for 4,460.00 I paid 410.00 for it on ebay late night...
Ebay is not a rip off, you just have to be careful and see their feedback score.
I don't care if you buy on ebay or not,,, my experience has been great!
