Default complete bible??

The bible teaches that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. Luke 4:4

II Tim. 3:16-17 teaches that it takes all scripture to make one perfect.

Rev 20:12 says that we are to judged out of the books.

If, some of the books given to us from God, have been removed from the bible as some teach, can one be saved with an incomplete bible??

This raises another question about the power of God, and his ability to control all things. Was man able to alter and change that which was forever settled in heaven? Has God failed to deliever to our generation an accurate and true word of God??

I believe the bible is complete as we have it. What do you think?

I liked those words Bro Snooky, and I agree.
I read some stuff that were thought to be some letters of Paul. It was interesting and I can see how one could . . . .enjoy these, but I could'nt help from having mental blocks while reading them.
I read a book called "The Lost Books Of Eden", which if I remember correctly, mostly contained a collection of ancient writings. Some of this stuff seemed like it should come under "Legend, lore".
I'll stick to the KJV, it's tried and proven, and I believe it's complete. I have had God talk to me thru a newspaper article however, so I won't say that one could'nt thru "some" of these other texts recieve something other than error.

Snooky come on!!!! If 90% of the Bible was missing all you would need is Eph. 2: 8-9 . for by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourself, it is a free gift from God, lest any man should boast.

So what you are saying we are saved by works, by knowledge, by wisdom....come you know better than that!

There is nothing missing from the Bible that God wanted in it..God didn't make any mistakes, only man and his desire to outsmart God is the problem..

Leaf River Mac, I agree. I have also read the, Lost books of Eden, amongst others.

Any one who has read the bible cover to cover even once will notice a "missing quality" to those supposed books.

Do I believe that we currently have access toevery God inspired word? No.

But I do believe that whatever we might be missing, would NOT contradict<sp> what we have access to now.

I dare say that even if 1/2 the current bible was lost somehow, a person would still have enough.

Thanks
Mr-Pirk

If books are missing it's because God didn't want them there! Amen bro. Wayne, right on target.

For by grace are ye saved by???? by what?? FAITH!! Faith in what?? Dear Abbie?? Ann Landers?? The Wall St Journal?? Or is it faith in the Word of God? Ro 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Let us not forget that without faith it is impossible to please God.
Ro 10:14 how shall they believe (can one have faith without believing?) in him of whom they have not heard?

Bro Rev, we need to rethink this a little. The ones Paul was writting to were those already in the church. Is that true? They had already heard. They already had faith to be saved by his grace. Paul was reminding them that they were not saved by works. Paul wasn't telling them how to become saved but rather reminding them how it had already happened. When they asked Peter what they should do in that first service ever in the New Testament church, what did he tell them? Did he tell them that they were already saved by grace? Or was the Grace of God leading them unto repentance?

Snooky come on!!!! If 90% of the Bible was missing all you would need is Eph. 2: 8-9 . for by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourself, it is a free gift from God, lest any man should boast.

If this is true, you should never preach, teach, or even mention any other scripture lest you cause one to become disobedient to God and possibly be lost because of your preaching. If this is all that one needs, why waste time preaching things that add nothing to the status of the hearer. These two scriptures do not even introduce the sinner to God. Who, or what is the sinner to believe in? It leaves the sinner with nothing to have faith in! The rest of the scripture is needed in order to activate faith and Grace.
Why would God give us 66 books, if all we need is 2 verses, 27 words??
Rev 20:12 and the dead were judged by Eph 2:8-9.Is that what it says? No, they are judged out of the things which were written in the books.
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Yes snooky faith in the Wall St. Journal .... That was a silly remark, I thought you were above that. At least I hope you are.

Snooky if your not save by grace, I'd like to know how are you then saved by. You might want to start dealing some of that out.

IF the bible is incomplete...oh well. If we are saved by faith that means our knowledge doesn't need to perfect or complete. Isn't Jesus/Holy Spirit to be our teacher anyways? Now as to whether I think our Bible is complete: I don't think most people realize how short ago the apocrypha has been removed from the Bible. 1880s (E.R.V)...120 years, thats it! This is something that intrigues me and is on my back-burner of "things to look into". Other interesting things: The original 1611 KJV included the apocrypha (and in fact King James made heavy fines for removing it). The first Bible w/o it was published in the late late 1700s (I wanna say 80s). Anyways, what little research I have found says the only reason these books ever came into question was because of an asterik put there by one of the very earlier translators (Jerome sounds right, but don't me to it). Idunno...just food for thought. God's the same yesterday today and tomorrow...so why did his book change its content after thousands of years? (And if you do a little search on the English Bible's history you'll find that there is no shortage of amazing "men-of-God") www.greatsite.com -this page may look like is all about selling and making money but there's alot of good general info there.
