Working on my Premarrital councelling homework. One question is
What do you believe to be God's pleasure for marriage? Prove with Scripture?

Only think I can come up with is its being obedient to marry and not burn with lust? Anything else? He just had up read Malichi 2 and Gen 1-3. I figured the aswer was i there but can't see it if it is.

Matt.22:37-38
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.

We have to confirm and conform to this for our lives and marriages to be a happy and good one. Without it there's no happiness in a marriage.Remember, God performed the first marriage, Adam and Eve!

i do believe it has to do with the making of a family,and having children in a safe secure environment .children ,are the primary purpose of marriage .
as well the vow that the two make is to beheld as the highest of obligations betwen you ,your mate and god.keeping god in your marriage will intensify the bond .like the cords of a three stan rope Ecclesiastes 4:12(New International Version)
12 Though one may be
overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

I am not sure about "having children being the primary reason for marriage", but cataway is right about keepingJesus in your marriage.
