Default Back from W.Virginia

We made it there and back safely, had a good visit with the out-laws. Went hunting a couple of times and saw some doe, but they were out of range. I appreciate all the prayers and want to wish you all a Happy New Year.

Does were out of range--over 15 yards!?!? Sorry, I couldn't resist. My last hunt of the year ended with a fizzle as well--the clubs on both sides were running dogs--and this is not some dog hunting counties--and then they were cutting trees in the bottom next to where i tried to hunt. I did see one doe, and a spike with one horn though.

BC- Went to Salt Rock which is near Barboursville. It is northwest side of WV near Ohio.

Manuman- Okay, truth be told I was on the side of a steep hill and had 3 doe pass behind me. They were about 50 yds away. The first one crept up off the flat they were traveling on and was making her way within range. As I slowly turned around , she busted me. She quickly trotted off never to be seen again. I blew it. My one chance for a deer this year and I let it go. Always next year. Those WV deer don't taste right anyways.[:'(]
