Default Can you back date prayers?

Someone asked this on another forum and I have wondered about it in the past.

In some of his epistles, Paul asked for prayer. Even though nearly a couple thousand years have passed since it was written, I felt compelled to pray for him. I know it doesn't seem reasonable, but God IS outside of time.

Just food for thoughtful discussion . . .

Not sure about back dating of prayers, but I will confess I have said many a prayer due to something I had already done and regreted, part of the prayer always has something along the lines of "God I wish you could undo what I did". I am sure God could if he wanted to, but then I would not learn from prior mistakes because he would just fix them up for me!

Well Dave, I personally see no harm in it, whether it is merited or effectual, I would have to question.
Phi 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
May or may not indicate something in this regard.
