But if you mean 666 ? It is the number of the beast, or the letters of his name as the verse reads in Hebrew, because the letter Tav in Hebrew has an equal value of 6 , John revelation of this name was that of the Emperor Nero whose name in Hebrew equals 666, he fulfilled many of the prophecies of The Antichrist or the first beast.

The Second Beast was Hitler and the third yet to come will be from a religious political background, probably a Muslim Jew(Hebrew) who will be known as the false prophet (Muhammed).

That is our Hebrew understanding of the scriptures as we don't subscribe to Church dispensionalism. But we incompass Jewish History to Prophecy, which the church has taken for granted, that is why the church does not understand what is going on today.They are still waiting for 1 anti christ that will fulfilled all the prophecies, when John said there will be many anti christs even in his days,they were working against Israel and the Church.

Alex, this may floor you but I agree to a great extent. I don't think the actual number 6 is evil or refers to evil. I don't expect that one great imposterto come along andtake over the world and fool everyone.

If I remember correctly, there is something along the lines that the number 6 represents imperfection, while 7 represents perfection? I can't remember where I got that, and may be way off base with it. My memory has never been that great, and nowadays it's not even as good as it used to be.

Aaa yes the number six,six,six or 666 a number that has confounded people for a long time. i want to show you some thing that you mite have over looked or you mite not see how or why the six is repeated three times .in the scriptures when a word is repeated three times it means to represent intensity, emphasis, or added strength.with the number 666 the emphasis is on the number 6.
this number at times represents imperfection. the number of the wild beast is 666 and is called a mans number,indicating that it has to do with imperfect men and it seems to symbolize the imperfection of that which is represented by the wild beast.
the number 7 is frequently used to signify completeness,

Alex I will fall right in behind LBR and say that I pretty much agree with your take on this also. I do beleive there will be a "Mark" in the final days, it may be actually 666 or something totally different.
