Default Grooves of Grace

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 KJV.

Someone once said,'In the beginnings we make our habits, in the end our habits make us."How about us? whenever we come to a crossroad in our life wht choice do we make? in other words, in what direction will we travel and what habits or what ruts will we follow? a habit is something we do daily so we need to pray about what we will practice..I like to call our habits routine ruts or Grooves of grace..Here Paul referred to his life's journey as a race..in verse 27 he implies a consistant pattern of Godly behavior. boy it's hard to be consistant in our daily walk in life..i know i struggle everyday with the old devil about one thing or another..I'll soon be 77 and he still wins now and then..none of us are perfect and won't be till we see Jesus..Good health habits are important but spiritual habits are far more important..Do we have a consistant prayer life? do we set aside some time each day to be alone with God? how about our Bible reading? do we daily read our Bible and meditate on what we read? we should.. are we kind to one another? when the dark storm clouds of life cover us , are we there to help push them away and to encourage them and let them know that we love them and that God loves them..let's love one another and pray for one another and God will bless in a mighty way..

have a great day and tell someone about Jesus..

Good post brother motor, I all way's enjoy reading your from the heart messages. I know reading my bible and prayer daily is what gets me through each day. We must constantly be looking to the lord for guidance. Because the devil doesn't take time off and will try to attack us all day every day. Let us all fight the good fight of faith.
