a great blessing!

My step daughter went out and bought me one of the last, if not the last Official Dale Earnhardt jackets for Christmas with her own money.

The jacket is not what the blessing is at all..... far from it. The blessing is the fact that she thought enough of me to buy something for me that she knows I would never have bought myself. You would have to understand the history between the 2 of us and also some of the roads she has traveled since she turned 18 have not been good ones.

We have been like oil and water for years.... when she would get real upset at me she would remind me in no uncertain terms that I was not her father. Well now it appears as though her life is back on track and even though she can not bring herself to say it (she has told my wife) I am her dad!

She insisted upon giving it to me last night.... the tears rolled bretheren.... my heart was and still is filled with joy.

That's great Taz. and it should never be the gift but the thought that is behind it..I pray that this will be the start of a close relationship between a Dad and Daughter..God Bless you both..

Sylvan you are right, I am truly blessed, I told my wife last night that was the best present I had ever recieved from a person in my life.

Motor the thought behind it says it all Brother, the young lady is fairly materialistic, but she is slowly getting there... Praise the Lord!!!!
