....here we go again.....
some say 1.... some say 3... but in reality, it don't matter what anyone here says/thinks.... what matters is written in His word.
There is only one God. The exact manner in which God chooses to exist is frequently debated. Most people who deny the trinitarian nature of God (wrongly) characterize it as the belief in the existance of three Gods.
I've long defended the concept of the trinity, as I feel it is revealed in the Bible.
Of late, I've been forming a little more of a personal belief that God exists in two forms simultaneously. That is, Father and Son. As for the Holy Spirit, it seems to be almost an appendage (for lack of a better term) of the Father.
We all have spirits, but God can do supernatural and devine things with His.
I've read protestant evangelists and apologists (on both/many sides of the argument) who affirm that understanding the true nature of God is critical to salvation. I think that judgement is influence more by ego than theBible.
In terms of salvation,I feel that it is critical to know that there is only one God and not three. To understand His divine nature, again IMO, is not critical to salvation, and arguing about may very well be a stumbling block. But to read the Bible with pure intentions, and tolovingly discuss the issue, not judging others on their understanding is a healthy and acceptable thing to do. -- And that is why I've emphasized that what I have are opinions and feelings, but not certainty, and that is why I've stayed out of that kind of debate for a while.
Isa 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Isa 45:21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
Hos 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
