It has already been covered twice in another post. It is simple and has no bearing to your argument, and rather works against it. Lord without the definite article is the equivalent to sir in English, and when it does have the definite article it is the equivalent to Adonai, God Almighty. It is the term used in reference to Christ in Phil 2, where He is referred to as THE Lord of lords, and THE King of kings. Why is God referred to as Yahweh sometimes, Elohim( a plural term) others and Adonai at other times?

In Hebrew there is no capitalization of Titles, as there are no capital letters in hebrew.

The new testament in greek also do not have capital letters ,but the translators added it in english to differentiate between the Lord God and a human lord.or a lower lord.

Cataway " I now know that if I give you enough rope you will hang yourself ".

Cataway far be it from me to try and tell anyone how to post. I have, at times, in the past been the worst of the worst. But this forum has many great minds and much personal knowledge to draw upon.

It would be a shame to miss-out on it while trying to "prove a point".

Your remark sounds like a "Gotcha". I have been guilty of such transgressions myself.
I can tell you, those type posts aren't fruitful. I know you don't see it as your mission

to win any popularity contests. You are simply stating the truth as you see it to be.

However.....

If your goal is to save souls by enlightening them to your way of thinking, the "gotcha"
method falls short.

If your goal is to prove a point in a sutle manner so that the reader "discovers things for themselves" the "gotcha" method must be sutle.
None of us are at war, there is no battle amongst Christian Brothers and Sisters.

I know you feel you are swiming against the tide on this forum. Not to many folks here of your point of view, but we are brothers just the same. We ALL fall short, me as well as you.

I have tried to take a lesson from Chuck, Above all, let Love shine through in any post you make. Truuth can ALWAYS be shared with Love.

If you see a Brother or Sister about the hang themselves, correct them lovingly. I know Manuman knows what I am talking about.

Thanks

I very very much like what was said in the last two posts and agree whole-heartedly (sp? or is heartedly even a word?) Soooooo.....in an attempt to hijack this thread I'd like to ask cataway two questions out of genuine curiosity. I've spoken to a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses before and ran across a couple things that strike me as odd. 1. You invite other's to attend you place of worship but will not (or consider it wrong...not sinful or anything like that but still) attend other's places of worship. Why? 2. If only a set number of people will go to heaven and you've well exceeded that number with your following why evangelize any more. (On this note let me severely digress and say the "election" is certainly in the Bible...but what exactly it means is a mystery to me and have yet to hear it explained with anything better than disquised *I thinks* *My interpretations* or *Well, if you stand on your head and count backwards by sqaures from 144 while reading through a caffiene induced........you get the idea! I rest in that fact that we are "called to be saints, not theologians.") 3. If you can go anywhere in the nation and enter into the same building and hear the same message as you would at your "home" place of worship how does that serve the needs of that body of believers and how can it be God's message to those hearts? (I'm aware that other groups have 'sysematic sermons' and I suppose the question stands to them as well.)

Just figured I'd go ahead and post these questions here rather than start another thread since this one seems to have quickly ran its course.

I'd like to add a question to Soilarch's. Something I've asked many JW but never gotten an answer to.

Where in the bible does it say that the Archangel Michael is Jesus?
