Just found out that the origin of the word holiday originates from combining 2 old english words holy and day. Should have been obvious I guess but it wasn'tto me. Anyway,so if you say happy holiday it really is like saying happy holy day. Clearly a religious greeting. I guess some of the stores that won't say merry Christmas will have to drop happy holiday now too!

I'm so sick of hearing about the PC crowd fight'em get in their face and fight em. You don't think the religious folks of this country don't have the money or the lawyers that would represent them against the likes of the ACLU.
Seriously you guys sound like a bunch of old women, what can we do cry cry cry. Your men stand up and act like it.

I say, "Merry Christmas" unless I know for sure somebody celebrates something else. In that case, I say "Happy Holidays," just out of courtisy for them.

Talk about whining like an old bitty! You sound like you got up on the wrong side of the the bed today Charlie. Lighten up!
Sylvan, I've read about a hundred posts that state we can's say this and they are taking away this or that.
Well it reminds of the scene in the Godfather when the singer comes in whining and crying to the Don "What am I going to do?" Don Caralone slaps him and say's act like man.
Lighten up you say? I haven't shifted into second gear yet.
