Default Happy holiday?

Just found out that the origin of the word holiday originates from combining 2 old english words holy and day. Should have been obvious I guess but it wasn'tto me. Anyway,so if you say happy holiday it really is like saying happy holy day. Clearly a religious greeting. I guess some of the stores that won't say merry Christmas will have to drop happy holiday now too!

Seriously you guys sound like a bunch of old women, what can we do cry cry cry. Your men stand up and act like it.

I say, "Merry Christmas" unless I know for sure somebody celebrates something else. In that case, I say "Happy Holidays," just out of courtisy for them.

I just posted this on the politics forum.

Make up T-shirts that say Merry Christmas,it's the birthday of my saviour or There's a reason Christ is in Christmas stupid.

If the shool freaks fight em. You'de get on every talk show with in a couple days, heck Bill O'REilly would have you on that day.

Get some of thses rich religious lawyers to represent you pro bono and start a true dialogue across this country.

You guys need an athiest to tell you how to do this or what?

Your 95% of the population and your getting sand kicked in your face by a bunch of bullies.

Sylvan, I've read about a hundred posts that state we can's say this and they are taking away this or that.

Well it reminds of the scene in the Godfather when the singer comes in whining and crying to the Don "What am I going to do?" Don Caralone slaps him and say's act like man.

Lighten up you say? I haven't shifted into second gear yet.
