Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation. Psalm 107:5-7 KJV.
each sunday morning before sundayschool class i share a Psalm with the folks and when i read this one i got to thinking how we are traveling through a world of hardships, pain and sorrow.." Like the woman at the wellI was seeking, for things that would not satisfy. But then i heard my Saviour speaking," Draw from the well that never shall run dry."you know our desires and needs demand more that life can give us..it's so sad that we try to satisfy our needs with the things of the world because the things of the flesh are here today and gone tomorrow, about like a mirage in the desert..
But with God, in his love He showed by offering his Son, Jesus Christ, that there is hope for us..yes dear friens He specializes in satisfing..Amen!
When we cry out to him when the storms of life come over us, He hears our plea..God can and will deliver that peace that passes all understanding..I hope you have that peace in your heart today, what a joy it is to know we have a loving God who hears and answers prayers..when we come to the end of ourselves and realize we can do nothing on our own and and realize that it is Jesus and Jesus alone who can save us, then He will hear our plea and deliver us from our storm whatever it might be..
With Jesus there is hope in our journey through life..yeh the world may deal harshly with us and we may not have the health and wealth that others have but we know that when this life is over and we have traveled the rght road we have a habitation, a city whose builder and maker is God.. oh what joy fills my soul as i am entering into the sun set time of my life, that i have a promise of a home in heaven through out all eternity with my Lord and Saviour..
What about you? as we will soon be starting a new year, let's search our hearts..have you truly called upon the Lord to save you?you know many have gonre through life with a false hope..have i done enough? given enough? Sacrificed enough? Dearly beloved, no matter how many great works we have done it is never enough..only the sacrifice of Jesus at the cross at Calvary can satisfy our debt of sin..
If you haven't already, PLEASE accept him today without delay. Take it from this ole man, you'll never be sorry you did..what a wonderful Saviour..
Have a great week and tell someone about Jesus..
