You're picking up the wrong book my friend!
Try reading the Bibleand takingnotes and marking the pages! Test your ability to memorize as many verses that interest you, I'm sure your thoughtswill not have much timefor porn!
When my son was 4yrs old, he could resite 6 verses from the Bible!
A person who does'nt read is as ignorant as the one who can't

I know you can do it! Just give it a try.

"If we put our problems in God's hand, there is nothing we need understand. It is enough to just believe that what we need we will receive.

Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Selah. Psalm 68:19

Today let go and let God help solve your dilemma."

My friend this is why I got rid of the TV. It first starts with the company you are keeping.

1 Corinthians15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
And as Reb has said make it a habit of reading the Word.
Psalm 119:11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Pray for temperance { Self control } It is a fruit of the Spirit. By the way ...have you been Born Again?

John 3:3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. I only said that because in order to have the fruit of the Spirit one must be filled with the Spirit.
John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Brother, it's obvious you are having a real struggle. Dr. Ed Young is my daughter and son-in-laws pastorhe hasa great ministry especially for what I call youth.. People under 30 www.edyoung.org if you go to the site go to the store and see what will help you. I really think that would be a great investment.I usually don't recommend preachers, but you really need some God godly council.

I'd really encourage you to go to church. Talk to a minister or a faithful Christian. All of us here can pray for you, but this is notreally a "personal" wayof finding accountability. Get help, you really need to talk to someone who can help you to be accountable. A friend that can talk to you and help you to overcome that temptation. Accountability is a great tool to overcome sin!

James 5:16 "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."

I'll pray for you,
Trae

Get off the computer...it's probably the source of your greatest temptation.

Don't try to be high and mighty. Get off the computer...I'm tellin ya...

And go do something else, anything else...but the best thing, read Scripture.

Goose and Frotook the words right out of my mouth--

Get off the computer and get to someone you trust and who can help you.I know you have mentioned this problem before. If you have to use the internet, put your computer in a place where you can be observed by others who can assist you when you have hte temptation to go to sites you shouldn't. Get someone to get a filter for your internet and only they can know nay passwords and will not share them with you.

If you are living alone, get rid of the computer altogether and get a pass at a local library to use one (make sure the library has a filter as well).
I know it may be tough, and very humilating to get help, but do so. The first thing you do is admit that you have the problem, now like Goose said, find a way to be accountable and get to a spot where others can help you do the same.

If you can, see a Priesthood or clery leader first. Get professional therapeutic help if you need to. As i mentioned on one of your previous posts on this matter--you can go ot a local chapter of sexaholics anonymous. do not go to bookstores alone until you have begun to face your issues and have more strenght. don''t be tempted to rationalize that the "Maxim" magazine on the shelf is not porn or only nearly "soft" porn. Anthing that casues lust to enter you mind and dwell on it is not healthy.

Do like Joseph did when confronted by Potiphars wife, RUN, FLEE get out of the situation that would bind you down.

Please don't take this as put down, by i imagine you may have some other things you realy need to look at in your life. Porn addiction is only symtomatic of other things. It is not the problem, other things are.

God bless inthe struggle, i know it s hard.

Porter

Porter Rockwell nailed it on the head, Flee from the temptation! Don't try to fight it, get it out of your life, if you have to go to extreme measures to do it then do it. Jesus said to pluck out your right eye or to cut off your arm if that is what it takes to stop committing adultry. Getting rid of your computer of having a friend install a filter doesn't seem so extreme in that light. My internet access is at work and it is thankfully monitered against such things so I do not have that tempation.
