Default The good, the bad and the ugly!

The Good

Brother Renfrow and his wife are A-one hosts, I was feed very well, had a nice warm bed. Bro. Renfrows house is fantastic, as he said, on more then one occasion I sat at the kitchen table and watched deer at his feeder.

The hunting was great, I killed a 5 point the first full day I was there, hopefully I can post some pics tomorrow if I can remember to download them of my camera and email them here to work. There were at least 7 deer killed between myself, Bro. Renfrow and his 2 hunting buddies.

Bro. Renfrow has a beautiful home and some fantastic land to hunt on. One thing I did find out though.................. I am a flatlander!!!!! Those mountains killed this old man![8D]

The Bad

Driving home Friday about 140 miles from Bro. Renfrows, I (for lack of better words) zoned out and smacked a gaurd rail with my truck doing about 65! Messed her up real bad, over $6,000 worth of damages. I am a bit stiff, but doing good. I got a ticket for reckless driving, oh well, I guess "zoning out" behind the wheel is reckless driving! Thank the good Lord I didn't hit anyone, get hurt, or run down the side of the mountain.

The Ugly

Waiting 2 weeks to get my baby back...... the court date..... my new insurance rates.

Except for the accident I had a GREAT time!!!!!

Bro.Taz, Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself and sad to hear about your baby. I'm sure the body shop will fix her up good as new!It could have been both of you, but you had a Wonderful Co-Pilot!

Glad it wasn't worse Taz. We had quite a bit of good, bad, and ugly going on here while you were gone! [8D]

Well folks you are right, I had the best copilot one can have.... there are spots along that road without gaurd rails and if I had not clipped the gaurd rail you all might still be wondering where I was!

Except for the trip home I had a great time hunting with Brother Renfrow and even sitting around his house. Brother Renfrow you made the trip something I will remember for the rest of my life due to your generousity and the hunting, wreck or not I will never forget the trip.

I am convinced the more I think about it that I did not fall asleep but simply zoned out..... I-81 is a very long road that does not have much traffic on it at night and when it is dark there is nothing to see but the road. When I smacked the gaurd rail I still had my hand on the wheel and did not panic, I knew exacly where I was at and what to do. I just let off the gas and slowly pulled off the road. I was shook up big time due to the shock of what had happened. I really feel if I had fallen asleep I would not have known where I was or what was happening and panicked. It was only 8:15 in the evening and I really was not tired. Who knows.... maybe I did fall asleep, but I don't think I did.

I just thank God that no one else was involved at all and I was not hurt.
