My tallest son Andrew has been sowing wild oats. He has been all day in the recruiter's office. I believe he's gonna go into the military. I know the military was good for me. Paid for my college and I got saved in teh army as well. Andy is 18 and the tall one. Matt is 20 and teh shortere one. I know it will be better than the folks he is hanging with.
Thanks Reb,
Yeah I like tha tclock but it sure does go through batteries. Three sets in one year. Coast Guard is not a bad idea. Those recruiters are slick. They told him 20,000 bonus for paratrooper. He's thinking about her. He's 6'7"
Chuck, I don't believe God "kind of" answers prayer any more than Christ and the apostles "kind of" healed anyone--the lame didn't walk away with a limp; the blind didn't see only from one eye, the lepers didn't get "most" of their sores healed--they were allmade 100% whole.
My point is sometimes the answer isn't exactly what we wanted or expected, but God is perfect and never does anything half-way. If this is God's answer, it will be 100% for the good. I hope that you are getting that answer, and your son will come home a better man.

I know you are much more mature in faith than I Chuck, as I still stumble like daily, hourly, but remember what I said one time. Keep praying for him and maybe this is the path he has to take to get him closer to God.
I am happy for ya that this seems to be a positive direction for your son.
I have a 20 year old son who is sowing his wild oats a swell--it can be very discouraging to watch them make such tragic decisions--but I believe that He si faithful, and will orchestrate the exact circumstances that my son need to draw him to Himself. I have to watch protecting my son when the circumstances get difficult. It sin't easy for me to do, but I know it is necesarry. I think we can actually hinder His working when we attempt to shield them from difficult times.
Chuck I am sure the service to his country will do the boy some good.
Chuck I am in no way judging you, I have never had kids so I don't know how raising kids works on a day to day basis, but, the picture leaves me asking this question.
You turn off the t.v. in your home, because of your convictions, what is up with that tee-shirt your son is wearing(in your home I assume)?
I hope this post doesn't come across the wrong way, but I can't think of a different way to word it and yet remain honest.
Thanks
Mr-Pirk
