Crash

Has anybody seen the movie Crash with Sandra Bulluck? I don't normally watch this kind of movie but a friend gave it to me and highly recomended it. It's definately not for kids (language and sexual content). Anyway one of the posts here made me think of it again in how intertwinded our lives are and how what we do effects others in ways we can't imagine. If anyone here has seen it,I'd be curious as to your thoughts.

Very bad taste movie for Christians. It was suggested on the off season site. I took it back in 15 minutes and got another movie in it's place. That's the kind of content that will

Hinder your prayer life.
Rob your joy
Grieve the Holy Ghost
And many other such things

PS I took it out after my wife in love called me a hypocrite. She was right. The TV is gone. I'm tired of straddling the fence.There is no joy or faith in that kind of walk. Sorry for the preaching. That is a passion of mine. The HATRED OF PORN AND LUST>

As I started washing dishes I began to think about the wording in my reply. I believe it could be esily interpreted as a haughty attitude against you. I do hate sin but I don't hate you brother. I am apologizing in advance.

I dont entirely disagree! Like I said the only reason I watched it was becasuse of a friend giving it to me. However, although it was an adult content, it was definately not porn. Definately not a movie designed to titilate and the language was in context and not gratuitous.The moviewas powerfull and thought provoking in my opinion. It made me examine my life and how even the small things I might do can impact others. It also made me appreciate more the environment that I grew up in and live in now. Anyway, just curious what others thought butif you only saw 15 minutes you reallydon't know what it was about. Thanks though!

No need to appologize CHuck. I understood where you were coming from. In fact I almost turned it off after about the 1st 10 minutes myself, but I gave it a go just so I could tell my friend I watched it. Like I said, I wouldn't normally give this kind of movie a sencond look but I did find it very thought provoking in a positive way.

I saw enough to understand where it was going. It was a movie to bring out the seriousness of racism. I have a very strong memory . I remember the language and the police searching the female etc.etc. Would you invite Jesus to sit and watch that movie with ya. My wife leans pretty much to the liberals instead of the conservatist and was greatly offended not to mention the abundance of F words. Movies are rated R for a reason. That is my take on this.

I won't argue about it with you and I can understand why you were offended but IMO you didn't see enough to understand it. No offense but you didn't see the movie, I did and I would invite Jusus to watch it with me. I would love to talk to him about it. Oh yea, I forgot, I have talked to him about it and it has helped me to understand the world around me much better than before.

BTW I think we are playing post tag!
