Default Dumped the TV again.

Friends ,
As my walk is going upwards again I watched some questionable stuff last night. My wife and I agreed until another 9-11 or hurricane comes put the TV away. SO I did. It's packed up and the stumbling box is removed. Done tha tbefore for 7 years and had great revival. Starting to feel better already.

I hear ya Chuck! I find less and les of value on T.V. these days and an ever increasing amount of crass programming. I wish I could just pick a few stations that I like and that be it but the cable company has it fixed so in order to get what you want you have to take a lot of garbage with it. I think I'd besatisfied with just Fox news, c-spanand theweatherand history channel. If I want to be entertained I can rent movies, read books and go to the local high school for concerts and plays. Thats cheap entertainment and the ticket money helps the kids. I really think that T.V. is pretty good as an information source but pretty lousy entertainment.

More room for the Christmas tree.
Alot less warfare with the temptations of life
More time with the family

I have a lot of admiration for those who can "say no" to TV. I am a news and NFL addict. I NEED to watch the news each evening and I NEED to see both doubleheader games on Sunday.

We only have a few channels. Last night I was lured in to watch discloser by Michael Fox. Full of lust. Woke up with so much guilt and condemnation..I got permission from my wife to put the TV in storage and she said diffently. Just by wrapping t up my faith started to soar. Now we have time to get those Christmas cards out.etc. Don't forget if ya give me your address I'll send ya one. I have a few. of your addresses already.

Chuck,
There is lots of trash on the tube for sure. I don't know if I could do what you did but there are times I probably should. It won't happen while college football is on though!!

I guess that will work in your house. In this house, my wife would leave with the TV. Heck, I had to even get cable at our lake house.. I feel like I married the woman on Green Acres ( Zaa Zaa Gabor) come to think of it, they do look alike. I can live out a suit case and eat off the land, but Mrs. Gabor has to have the city life... . I actually get close to God by fellowshipping with you guys on here. But it can also be worldly as well. I honestly think the pros outweigh the cons for this particuliar site. I tried leaving once and was rather lonely.
