I have sort of a problem. I used to look at porn a lot. I havent probably within the last month. I like to look at nude women. I know its wrong. I wish i could just get a girlfriend so then I would be able to just think about her. Not think about her naked. she be on my mind and my feelings would be for her.

Lust is a very difficult battle especially for younger men, and sadly even with a woman in your life, married or not it is still for many men (Women also I guess[&:]), a difficult temptation to deal with. I have in the past gone through the battle with porn. One thing that may help you resist looking at it is to realize that every woman you see is someones daughter, maybe sister, and possibly even a mother. Think about your mother or sister when this temptation hits you and imagine for a second that what you are looking at is just that to some one else.

This may be something that will always
be a struggle, as it is for many of us.
Especially since so much of society, the
media in particular, seem to encourage us
to think it's ok. I know it's aproblem to
ignore when it seems to beeverywhere,
even if it's just suggestive.
If we can keep Taz's analogy andadvice
in mind and remember this is not a harmless,
victimless activity after time and with the Lords
help I think the temptations will be overcome.
Decidingwhat we need to do and not do is a
step in the right direction. You're on the right
track.

IMHO, I believe that a man who enjoys Porn,truly does'nt love his wife.If a singleyoung man has to constantly look at porn, he has an obcession and needs professional help on this matter.

I work with individuals everyday who are addicted to pornography. There are things that can and do help. Since you express a private, personal problem, send me a PM if you so desire. I would not say that the treatment I offer is the end all and be all of the answer, but I have seen it work. More importantly, the answers come from you and the Lord, not me, I assist in being a guide.

That said, I don't know if you are a member of a particular congregation, but I would always say to begin with local priesthood clergy help. Check with you Reverend, Pastor or Priest and see what they have to say.

If you are not active in a particular faith, there are other professional organizations that can help. You are not alone, there are so many who struggle with this. You have my prayers and further professional ideas if you are interested. Furthermore, this would come at no cost to you. My preactice is plenty full, but thoughtI could point you in the right direction if you so desire.

I just had a similiar battle driving back from Missouri. Thoughts began to wage war out of nowhere as I began to get weary from driving. Florida has a few very rough counties where nearly anything goes. I kept the Chrisitan radio on. I said a couple quick prayers to almost no advail. I even called my wife. Still did not work. This battle went on for a long time. As I almost lost my way someone had planted a huge billboard by the side of the road..."Why don't you just obey God?" I reckon other men had battled there as well and put up a nice shield of faith for me to use. I quoted lots of scriptures. Slowly I began to thank God for the wonderful cooler full of deer meat I had , and my beautiful wife whom awaits me. I thanked God for no car trouble and for not getting lost. And then I reallized my mind was free of the garbage. Surely the battle is in the mind and we are to take EVERY thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Easy..no way. But God is the author and the finisher of our faith. He will finish what He has started.
