Dear friends,
I am pleading here that we show a little mercy when replying to post. Ther eis nothing wrong with sharing your opinions .But for Christ sake and His name...when you are sensing a brother is on the ropes BACK OFF !!!SHOW MERCY and don't rub his face in the carpet. HE is your brother for Pete's sake. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE SAME TEAM. Teh nasty words really only reveal a dark unloving heart. No one should take pleasure in another's misfortune...even getting belittled on a forum. For Pete's sake ..brothers come here to get encouraged ..not to feel bad about themselves. NO I'm not expecting you to compromise your convictions but refrain from rudeness YES. To back off instead of grinding ON and ON Yes. God's Word itself is strong enough to bring conviction without the aid of sarcasm and humiliating a brother.

I stopped posting (still read regularly) on this forum awhile back.
Mainly because my own contentiousness (sp) was so obvious. I
do noticeat timesa post can come to the point of an opinion or
an interpretation being put across as THE WORDeven to the point
of if someonehas adifferent perspective they arelabeled as NOT
BELIEVING THE BIBLEormaby even worse.I've seenhere that
there is "no need for interpretation" as theBible is clear, so if you
believe different you're justnot following the Word.[]People have
justifiedsarcasm andother rude comments by saying "they will not
stand bywhile a false doctrine (usually a slightly different viewpoint)
is put forth".This to me is whatcauses division.
I surely don't think a forum post is going to change anyones
personality and have no illusions of mycommentsputting a
dent insomeshatefullness. I do know that when I get
involved and then go back after a while and read, I don'tlike
myself very much. So I'll probablytry to enforce my self exile.

For once in my life I can honestly say Not Guilty. I agree with you and don't even begin to understand all of the constant arguing. You can pretty much tell a person's personality if you read their post long enough and I can honestly say there is not a brother on here I wouldn't like to meet. Sure I could place them in a certain order I would like to meet them but still enjoy all you brothers post when they remain civil. Hey I'm just a red neck carpenter from smallsville kansas and wouldn't dream of telling another person how they should live their lives. Touching Chuck . . .I really do agree with much of what your saying but I also know where your coming from, and I think you are assuming much too much and also have a distorted view of anything that has to do with those that are firm in their beliefs.
You say you come here to make friends and possibly new hunting partners . .I don't, tho I have made some good friends here . . .I like the debate . . .that is what was going on here before we came and will be going on as long as its a diverse religion forum.
This place causes folk to study the word and examine their beliefs . . .that would'nt be happening without the stimulation.

Actually the issue is not confusing. Mr. Pirk is liked very well here. Because of that..folks are wanting to stand on scripture without offending Mr. Pirk. Kind of wishy washy.
