Default Some thoughts...

Perhaps it is not that the US is getting more secularized, but that the church is.

America is not rejecting spirituality, it is rejecting Christianity.

We accuse them of not wanting to find God. And they accuse us of not knowing Him.

We are known by our fruits! Every tree that is not producing fruit will be cut down, and thrown into the fire.

Not all, but many churchs today preach a feel good message, they sound more like movitational speakers than preachers, having a form of Godliness but denying the power there of. So why should the rest of the world want what they have.

But thank God there are some that still preach Jesus. And I believe there is going to be a revival that the world has not ever seen before. It will start in the places where fruit is being produced! Just hang on, for your redemption draws neigh!

Good points Fro--in some of the more heated debates I've been involved with, my stance is to take the Bible for what it says, period; and I get opposed by feelings. You don't love enough, you don't listento your heart enough, you are just rejecting the Spirit, you aren't open minded enough, etc. if you stick strictly to the Bible and don't let your feelings be somewhat your guide. This has primarily been discussions I've had in the "real world", but a good bit of it could apply to discussions on this board also. I simply do not understand it. If the Bible is perfect, why would we need anything else? If the Bible is not perfect, what good is it to begin with?

I hear that, Rev. I have been saved now for nearly 20 years. During that time, I have seen and felt this power base growing in many Christian churches, while witnessing the 'watering down'of power in many others. One small body of believers who have real faith and commitment makes up forseveral weak, inefficient churches losing the little power they had. I believe Christ's church is stronger in America now than it has been for a long time. And that this will cause good things to happen.
