Default Close call this mornig

WOW ! On the way to work this morning I had a real close call. I take a nice scenic route to work every morining. At one point I have to cross a highway. Real simple ..when the light is green go across. Well the light does not last long and usually there is someone ahead of me making a left hand turn. Then I just cautiously go around him. Well this morning a pickup truck was a head of me. All he had to do was pull up 10 more inches and I could of went around him. . Just seconds after I even made the thought a person ran the light going at least 60. They never even seen the light. If the truck would of been pulled up 10 more inches I would of been creamed because I havea habit of going around the man in front.
My weight being thrown into my small wife would of killed her so from that minute on I decided to wear my seat belt. I also will not presume anymore that the other folks are going to stop on red. What an eye opener. Usually folks will creap ahead so I can get around. I'm glad today that for some reason this fellow would not budge.
I thanked God all the way to work.

Glad all is well and intact Chuck. I have had a few of those over the years myself. Keep safe.

May God Continue to bless you.

Porter.

Good to hear that you had a close call instead of the real thing! It's unfortunate that people don't realize how close they are to tragedy every time they're on the road. We all do it from time to time. Light that cigarette, change the radio station, creep around a guy at a turn, pass someone going the speed limit. Guilty! We're all one little mistake away from tragedy every day. Not many realize this. Glad your O.K.

Thanks gentlemen. I always look out for the other guy. The thing that was different this time is tha the light had already been green a good 15 seconds so you wouldn't expect anyone to be running it. Just made me realize how fragile life is. I'm a very cautious person and it freaked me out that I neevr had this base covered. I do now. No matter how long teh light has been green .LOOK BOTH WAYS.

Another great morning my friends. Gone Speck fishing for you southerners and Black Crappie fishin for you northerners. I fried up last week's batch and honestly..They were 5 star.
Love ya,
Chuck

Glad to hear all is well brother, I for some reason when driving always counted on the other person to do the wrong thing, that may be the reason the only accidents I have been involved in over 30 years has been some one rear ending me! BTW I always wear my seat belt, it saved my life once already, long story and I feel lazy right now so just trust me when I say it saved me.
